About Vikram Lakhwara
Vikram Lakhwara is a venture capital investor with deep experience supporting early-stage startups. He began his investing career in 2008 as the first external hire at SK Telecom Ventures, where he was part of the team that backed 15 early-stage startups—resulting in nine exits to acquirers such as Apple, Autodesk, Uber, and Zynga. He later led business development for Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s Startups & Venture Capital practice, helping hundreds of founders navigate fundraising and the legal landscape from 2014 to 2018.
In 2018, Vik co-founded Green Cow Venture Capital, a seed-stage firm focused on startups leveraging AI and robotics to solve foundational industry problems—from farming to finance. He continues to co-manage the portfolio and serves on the board of one of its companies. Notable outcomes include John Deere’s $250M acquisition of Bear Flag Robotics.He is now Co-Managing Member of Stakehouse, a pre-seed fund based in St. Louis, Missouri and Alton, Illinois, focused on backing breakout founders from Midwest university ecosystems.
Outside of investing, Vik co-hosts the Drinks With a VC podcast and serves as an Investor-in-Residence at Washington University’s Skandalaris Center. He is a frequent speaker, mentor, and advisor at universities across the Midwest, including UIUC, SIUE, SLU, and Vanderbilt.
A first-generation son of Indian parents and Bay Area native, Vik earned his B.A. in Economics from Vassar College and now calls St. Louis home.
