DESCRIPTION:On Wed\, Aug 19\, don’t miss GÜG (Geospatial Users Group)\, for the topic\, “Hot Streets\, Tall Buildings: Urban Heat Analysis and a 3D St. Louis.” \nDonivan James (Saint Louis University) and Arthur Crawford (Esri) team up for a two-part look at how we’re mapping St. Louis in new ways. Donivan opens with his urban heat analysis\, the research he recently presented at a conference in Helsinki and to the Esri Young Professionals Network\, walking through what the results tell us about heat patterns across the region. Arthur picks it up from there with the 3D side: the 3D buildings and trees built for the St. Louis metro across Missouri and Illinois (with Monroe County\, IL coming soon)\, all headed toward open data and the ArcGIS Living Atlas. Together\, they’ll show how the heat works and the 3D data come together\, and where it’s all going next.
